Phyllis "Sheba" de la Cruz was born on March 3, 1946, in Providence, R.I. to Agnes and Benjamin De Corpo. She is survived by her daughter Christina de la Cruz and her husband Clement "Bob" La Plante. Phyllis and her beloved Bob shared an unwavering love for one another that transcended every life obstacle thrown their way throughout their 41 years of marriage. Their love was a true love story that will never end. Phyllis studied at CCRI, and was self-employed. She had a tremendous love for animals and rescued many throughout the years. She was an avid reader, a crackerjack skilled at a wide variety of abilities, and loved video games. She was known for her big blue eyes, quick wit, humor, infectious smile, and compassionate spirit. Friends and family are invited to say a final goodbye to Phyllis at Keefe Funeral home in Lincoln, RI on July 25, 2021 from 3 to 5 PM.
